Roseville parks fundraiser Tapped and Uncorked returns with craft beer, cider, spirits tastings

Tapped & Uncorked, a beer- and wine-tasting festival benefitting Roseville’s parks, will return for its ninth year on Friday at the Roseville Oval.More than two dozen producers of craft beer, wine, cider and spirits are set to offer unlimited samples of their products. Roseville’s Bent Brewstillery and High Pines Brewing will be there, as will other well-known names from around the state including Urban Growler, Lupulin, Castle Danger, Wild State Cider and Earl Giles.Plus, local party band Sugar Buzz will be performing all night, and games of “human foosball” will be free to join. Several food trucks will be available, too.The outdoor festival runs from 6 to 10 p.m., rain or shine, and is for those 21+ only.General admission tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door and include beer/wine/cider samples plus a souvenir tasting class. A man was seen walking away from a fire that had just been set in a Hollywood intersection early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. near Wilcox and Franklin avenues along the border of Hollywood and Hollywood Hills.The man who allegedly set the fire was seen walking westbound on Franklin and eventually disappeared into a nearby building, an OnScene.TV stringer news reporter said. A man is seen walking away from a fire in the Hollywood area. (OnScene.TV)The reporter called 911 as flames shot into the air near a Prius that was parked on the street.
