Combined the tangy flavor of the BBQ sauce with the juicy grilled pineapple together on a sandwhich to create a delicous dinner!
1 lb of chicken breast pounded out a bit till 1/2 inch thick. Season with salt and peper..And I use Webers Garlic and Onion seasoning as well.
1 cup of BBQ sauce of your choice..I like Sweet Baby Rays Original
1/2 pineapple cored and cut into 4 slices
4 whole wheat buns
Place chicken on grill at medium high..Cook for about 4 minutes on one side, flip over and using a marinade brush, brush on some BBQ on the up side. Cook for 5 minutes and flip again, applying BBQ sauce to the other side now. Cook til done. Adding more BBQ sauce along the way as you like it.
Place the pineapples on the grill at the same time…Let sit there for atleast 8 minutes before flipping to get the grill marks into the pineapple slices. Flip and cook another 8 minutes.
Toast the buns on the grill too! I love warm toasted buns on the grill…a must do if you ask me!
